Once upon a time… there was a witch that was scorned so she cast a spell on the village of Schwabsburg. She sent her crows to steal the children. But the families ran to the tower for safety from the evil curse.
We can avoid panic if our minds are set on the right path and kindness is a priority.

Fast forward to today and you see the Schwabsburg Tower lying on the outskirts of Nierstein, Germany. It stands completely uninhabited and surrounded by beautiful vineyards. The tower is the remains of a once standing castle built sometime between 1125 to 1245. It is not a frequently visited place, but sometimes there is a festival hosted there from time to time.

It’s easy to panic right now and day-dream about the beautiful isolation and safety of this tower. Instead, during these times of quarantines and social-distancing, we could focus on what makes us happy. For us, it has been spending time with family and allowing our artistic and creative side to flow freely.

Panic makes us emotional and can cause feelings of hopelessness. There are things that can be done right now to put our minds at ease though: wash your hands, text your neighbor and see if they need anything. Also, take this time to slow down and be present with your family.

We can avoid panic if our minds are set on the right path and kindness is a priority. In history, some of the best art was made during times of war, plague, etc. So we were inspired to use the current headlines that are often met with fear and panic, and turn them into something gorgeous. For us that meant styling an evening gown (BCBG), with an abstract flower crown and a custom-made mask. We are calling it a Glamdemic.
